Nutrition Counseling

We all have a story that tells who we are and why we do what we do. I understand that your dietary choices are shaped by that story, and your decisions are complex and personal. Our conversations will guide us in developing a unique nutritional plan that is personal and practical with convenient meal tips that don’t take hours to prepare. 

During our sessions we will cover more than just basic nutrition. We will discuss current research and the nutritional science around how food influences your physiology and health. We will establish the nutritional foundation that supports healthy habits. Making a new habit can be just as difficult as breaking an old one. It is a journey that requires patience, support, and inspiring discussions. 

Living healthy in a busy world that is full of less than ideal food choices is a challenge.  This is where my guidance as a nutrition and exercise professional can provide the extra knowledge and motivation to help you stay on track. The amount of nutrition information available can be overwhelming. As athletes we want to eat healthy so we have energy for exercise and nourishment for recovery. But what information do we believe and how do we eat for optimal performance? As an athlete you spend hours if not years learning how to properly train and compete. It is just as important to learn about nutrition that is tailored to the demands you put on your body as an athlete. I competed as a swimmer, cyclist, and a runner so I understand how nutrition influences performance.
